In 2017, we #RaceforALS to honor former Baltimore Raven O.J. Brigance’s 10 year anniversary of his ALS diagnosis; a decade of embodying that All Things Are Possible Fighting ALS. In solidarity with his tremendous strength and service, we will race, run, walk, stroll, roll, and raise funds for ALS families, just in time to kick off the month of May — ALS Awareness Month. Join us!
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Brigance Brigade Foundation, our mission is to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). The Brigance Brigade Foundation improves the quality of life for ALS patients and their families by providing access to much needed equipment, support services, and resource guidance.
The 5.7K Championship Race will feature three levels of participation in honor of O.J. Brigance’s jersey number, 57: a timed 5.7K, a 1.57 Mile Family Run/Walk and a Kid’s Fun Run.
After the races, all participants are invited to join us in the Celebration Village, held in Canton Waterfront Park, to take advantage of post-race snacks and beverages, music sponsored by MobilityWorks, harbor views, vendor tents and more! The Celebration Village will also feature the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Kids’ Zone which will include a corn hole tournament sponsored by Oliver & Grimsley, LLC!
