Fund

THE BRIGANCE BRIGADE FUND was created by O.J. and Chanda Brigance to raise funds to improve the quality of life of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) patients and their families by providing access to vital treatment, medications, equipment and support services. As a partner with the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, the Brigance Brigade also supports the critical funding of research for a cure.

A linebacker on the Baltimore Ravens 2001 Super Bowl-winning team and currently the team's Director of Player Development, OJ Brigance has been a fixture in Baltimore football dating back to his time on the 1995 Grey Cup champion Baltimore Stallions of the Canadian Football League. Following his diagnosis with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Mr. Brigance created the Brigance Brigade Fund at BCF to raise awareness and funds for the Packard Center at Johns Hopkins University and for other organizations working on research to find a cure. The fund will also help organizations assisting patients with ALS, as well as other charitable endeavors. With the same faith, tenacity and perseverance that helped him to become a professional athlete, OJ Brigance is battling ALS and expecting to win.
