KCI Technologies Donates Funds to Benefit the Brigance Brigade Foundation

Multi-Disciplined Engineering Firm Makes Donation to Foundation that Supports People Living with ALS and their Families

Baltimore, M.D. – The Brigance Brigade Foundation, an organization that supports ALS patients and their families created by former NFL player O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda, were presented with a $1,500 charitable donation from KCI Technologies on Sunday, December 23, 2013. O.J. & Chanda Brigance accepted the donation on behalf of the Brigance Brigade Foundation at a check presentation held prior to the Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Giants football game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD.

“When KCI Technologies was first introduced to the Brigance Brigade Foundation by Todd Jennings, a mutual friend and fundraiser for the Brigade, we realized this was a cause we wanted to get our company behind,” said Nathan Beil, “The Brigance Brigade Foundation does tremendous work with ALS patients and their families, and we hope this donation will progress into a deeper partnership in the future.”

KCI Technologies is an engineering, consulting and construction firm serving clients throughout the U.S. and beyond. With revenues of approximately $117 million in 2011, KCI is ranked 96 on the Engineering News-Record’s current list of the top 500 engineering firms in the country. Roughly 950 KCI employee owners provide environmental, transportation, telecommunications, construction, facilities and land development services from more than 20 locations.

“The Brigance Brigade Foundation is honored to be the recipient of such a generous donation from KCI Technologies,” said O.J. Brigance, co-founder of the Brigance Brigade Foundation. “We look forward to forging a partnership with KCI to help spread awareness of ALS and the foundation.”

The funds donated to the Brigance Brigade Foundation will be used to further the Foundation’s goal of improving the quality of life for ALS patients and their families by providing access to vital equipment and supports services.
