Make All Things Possible this May
Join us at one of the fabulous events below and help make All Things Possible for people battling ALS during ALS Awareness Month!
May is ALS Awareness Month, and we here at the Brigance Brigade Foundation like to take full advantage to shine a spotlight on a disease many people do not understand. May is a wonderful opportunity for all those working to support people battling ALS to raise awareness for the disease and cultivate an understanding and compassion for those fighting it each and every day.
May is our time to foster support for individuals with the disease, as well as those family, friends and community members affected by its impact. Become an ALS advocate this May and help members of our community who are trapped inside of their own bodies. Help us realize a world where people with ALS thrive with purpose and passion.
Here’s how to get involved:
— Donate: Visit our donate page to see how your donation will directly affect a person battling ALS. Donations starting as low as $10 make a huge difference in the life of someone diagnosed.
— Educate: Visit our resources page to learn more about ALS and talk to your friends and family about the disease. Spreading awareness goes a long way!
— Attend: Check out our list of wonderful ALS Awareness Month events below and register to attend them! We’ve got everything from music to fitness to food!
— Host: We have some fabulous friends who support our ALS families by hosting an event to benefit the mission of the Brigance Brigade Foundation. Will you join Team Brigance Brigade? We’d be honored to have you. Contact us with your ideas! 410-878-2030 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
ALS Awareness Month events:
April 26, 2018 | 6:30 PM — 9:30 PM | The Grand: 225 N. Charles Street, Baltimore
Join Drew Vanlandingham and Vanlandingham Design Studio for an evening of music with four Classical, Theater, Jazz, Country, and Pop artists. The concert will be full of energy, excitement and will be dedicated to Lynn Kotz and her family; one of Baltimore’s most prestigious Event Planners who battled ALS until 2012 and was supported by Brigance Brigade Foundation with the provision of an eye-gaze communication device.
Every piece of the evening was donated, which means every dollar is going directly to support ALS families via Brigance Brigade Foundation. Following Suit & Tie: A Voice with a Choice concert, will be an after party with drinks, food, and ALS Champions: O.J. and Chanda Brigance, co-founders of Brigance Brigade Foundation.
April 29, 2018 | 9 AM | Canton Waterfront Park: 3001 Boston St, Baltimore, MD 21224
The 5.7K Championship Event is back for its 5th year and will feature 3 racing events, music, food, games and more! We encourage everyone to walk, run, roll or stroll with us in support of families battling ALS. Both team and individuals are welcome; there is also a virtual racer option for anyone who can’t make it to Baltimore!
May 1 – 31, 2018 | Locations across the Baltimore region
We know that ALS truly bites, and we are working with bars, restaurants and cafes across the Baltimore region to raise funds to provide our PALS with equipment, resource guidance and support services that will improve their daily lives. Each participating restaurant listed below has selected a special menu or drink item and anytime that item is ordered a portion of the proceeds are donated back to the Brigance Brigade Foundation.
Get out there and grab a bite to support their fight! When visiting a participating restaurant during the month of May, be sure to share your foodie photos using #ALSBites!
