National Multiple Sclerosis Society Honors O.J. Brigance at 2014 Dinner of Champions
On Saturday, February 22, the National MS Society, Maryland Chapter, honored O.J. Brigance with the Champion of Hope award at the 21st Annual Dinner of Champions at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.
The Dinner of Champions is held annually to recognize distinguished area business and community leaders. The dinner is a high profile and prestigious fundraising event, bringing together corporations and community and civic leaders to raise significant dollars for MS research and local services.
JR Paterakis and Ed Frere, Chair of the Board of Trustees, presented O.J. with the Champion of Hope award, the highest award presented annually by Chapters of the National MS Society. Other honorees included Dr. E. Albert Reece, the vice president and dean of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Dave Pietramala, the men’s lacrosse coach at Johns Hopkins.
